Description
From the website:
The Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center Discovery Space is open for visitors to participate in self-directed, hands-on activities related to the canal.
During April, our theme is Children and Daily Life on the Canal! Learn games and play with some toys similar to those used in the 19th century. Explore fashion during the canal’s active years and dress up in some 19th century style clothes. Uncover details about the work children on the canal did, from chores to paid labor. Discover what it was like to be in a classroom in the 19th century, including textbooks used to teach students over 100 years ago.
Come visit the Discovery Room at the Great Falls Tavern during the month of April to participate in the activities. The discovery room is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
